"Hi Airplane!!" Baby Flyer gets ready to take off! |
Chicago is always a photogenic city, from the iconic skyline, to the long lasting fall colors, and impressive public works projects. We always make a point to spend as much time outside enjoying the city as the weather will allow. This year, the weather was perfect- sunny, clear skies that made the city sights really stand out.

What's more, this trip the city greeted us with impressive views even before we made our final approach with these stellar 'views from above.' Check out the shadows of the skyline on the lake!
Hello, ORD! |
Until next year, (or the next flight deal) Chicago!

Such a shame but I have never been to Chicago. I have to grab one of those really good fares. We flew there enroute to Madrid and it was only four hours. #TPTHursday
ReplyDeleteNext time you're over that way, try to do even a long layover. The train runs right from the airport to the city center, so it's easy to see a thing or two before you head out again.
DeleteI've only ever passed through Chicago O'Hare. I definitely need to work in a layover one of these days. Thanks for joining us at Weekend Travel Inspiration! #wkendtravelinspiration
ReplyDeleteThanks! Chicago is a surprisingly easy stopover city, even though the airport is out of town. You should check it out!
DeleteI like the look of Chicago. You had great weather and I loved seeing it from above also. Gotta love that bargain fare!
ReplyDeleteThe cheap tickets really did make us take this trip, but we always love the city.
DeleteI love how sometimes you can get these super cheap flight deals and just go for a few days. It was a lot easier for me when I was in Europe. It's a bit hard here in Australia as everything is so far away and there isn't much competition on flight carriers so prices tend to be expensive. I am glad you had a good time in Chicago! Lovely photos too!
ReplyDeleteGrabbing the occasional cheap fare is the best! How are flights intra-AUS? It seems like there may be a little more capacity from the US to there with the flights added on by AA this year.
